It would not be SPAM. it would the annoying forward emails sent by everyone's grandma.

Looking at one year ago it does look like this site is sliding.

Last Years contests 5/17 - 5/27: Total Votes: 9,764 and Total entries: 825

This Years contests 5/17 - 5/27: Total Votes: 7,376 and Total entries: 422

Well, well...just who the hell are you? You haven't even bothered to post so you've created an alias to start a bitch fest. Go Away Twisted Evil

I've actually seen the biggest influx of new members in the past couple of months than I've seen the whole year i've been here. I agree, PSC could use some more members, but I don't think we're actually losing more than we are gaining at the moment.

oh, I already mentioned this exact thing while back. everybody hated me for even mentioning it, just so you know.

Just look back at the stats you've posted and you will notice that the voting % is up, that means that people are active. Which is a good thing.

I noticed that, I guess we have more dedicated users now, but still, half as many entries.

This place was really swinging 3 years ago. I looked back to those contests and you were probably averaging 80 entries. Some with well over 120.

Maybe they accepted images longer back then or something.

1.) Maybe less people are posting multiple mediocre entries and are focusing on one slightly less mediocre entry.
2.) Maybe people who posted crappy pictures got tired of not getting votes and finally gave up.
3.) Maybe we should let the owner of the site worry about all of this, if there is in fact a need to worry. If he feels he needs help, I'm sure he'll ask.

i think ALSO : : all the newest people that came since 2 months n even older ones are now doing crap somewhere else (iwont give name'sites) because here it's a pretty rigid rules of doing chops (which is agood thing to people improve skills or a way of dsicouragement too...both). in the other places...people do their usual "single filtererd" or "badcut- pasted" work without being upset by votes or comments cuz they just got a plenty of them...lol...(i wont give sits'names).

I know how to get this site an initial 200,000 unique visits from real photoshoppers in the first month without paying and without spamming. No un-ethical or illegal practices are involved. In fact, it's actually beneficial to the visitors and the Internet.

Then later, get an average of 100 to 500 unique visits per day for the remainder of the year. This 100 to 500 would be on top of the visits that the site is already getting.

Plus, the initial 200,000 will skyrocket the site's SEO, so that it's possible to get about 1,000 or so unique visits per month from the Google SERPs.

I won't post it publicly, because it's a trade secret.

JMH, if you are interested, feel free to drop me a PM or email and I can explain how.

spam is never a good thing

Listen to FF. Spam = evil

It doesn't matter if you send it to grandma. Once it starts getting forwarded around it's SPAM no matter what the original intent.

I like the idea that Splodge had for creating the posters. There's several universities and trade colleges nearby me. I'm all for this plan.

id hate to say it but one good "free" place to advertise would be Myspace.

granted its possibly the most annoying place on the internet but they get millions of viewers a day...

and when u post bulletins and comments and such, word travels and its not considered SPAM.. (man i havent eaten spam in years!)

Link trading also works well... but i never liked it much.
