Someone here can surely help me on that one.

Last year I have seen a music video and could never find what was the song or who was the band that sang it.

It goes like that : the singer is an Asian man, he's driving a car and he hits a pedestrian on the street. While the crowd gathers and the attention is elsewhere some other people are robbing a store and take off. You then discover the accident was just fake.

I know I don't have all the details right, but I'm sure someone somewhere will know who sings the song.

I think it may have been Hoobastank .

Yep, really like The Strokes. Definitely owe some of their sound to The Velvet Underground.

Here's an old (early 90's)video ,a friend of mine (who was the drummer for this incarnation of the band)just transfered to digital. They were called Boy Wonder ,at that time. Great bunch of talented guys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Wzg-6PozDY
You can definitely hear their influences (early on), in that song.

They are now The Vestals

......and their sound has gotten more polished. http://www.myspace.com/thevestals
...and hell, I just found out that they're MP3'd at itunes. Very Happy Very Happy

They're a great Mpls.band.......so have a listen. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

OMG! You found it burning couch! That is the song I was talking about. Dang, I had no idea of their name, but Wiki says the song stayed 20 weeks at #1 in Canada, no wonder I knew the song. Thanks for the help!

I'll be in New York next week for Patty Griffin's new CD launch. I'm really excited, it will be my first time in NYC.

I suppose someone somewhere in the PSC community likes this artist.
