Ok.. we had fun with the Arbor barber guy thingy....

I'm finishing up the book I've been working on this summer. I did a book for Karolyn Grimes. She played Zuzu from the movie It's a Wonderful Life.

I normally do commercials and such, but she convinced me to do her book.

I must say I think it came out pretty danged cool. I'm doing the spine of the book and I'm going to put Relative Pictures Publications and thought it would be cool to have a little Einstein picture above the words. I was telling someone at a Design company and they said it would look much better as a graphic instead of a photo.

That is not something I do... Anyone want to doodle something up for me?

If you are interested ...post something and we can all figure out which would look best on the spine...

Thanks people.... You guys are great!

Kathy

yep.. Thanks for getting things started Sean...

I know how to do that... The design company made it sound like I should turn his head into a black and white cartoon picture.

The graphic that will go on the spine will be very very small.

Yours would be cool for my card or something.. But this is more like what would be on the spine... So you could read it if it were on a shelf.

picture here
Relative
Pictures
Publication

I can leave it words only, but I thought I would create a thread to see if anybody could make a worthy Einstein to put on there.

Anyhow.. Just brain storming...

How many colors? What's the lowest resolution you'd find useful?

hmmmmmmmmm...

I'm not sure.. The printer guy asked me yesterday if all my stuff was high res.

300DPI. I guess that would apply to that. Also... Just Black

Also... I guess I was thinking more of a graphic. As in if someone could draw the likeness of him in a few lines. like a siloette kind of thing...

Maybe I'm not saying it right. Let me go looking on the internet and post some...I'll be back

It's a paperback about 170 pages........The book is 6x9...So the spine will be 9x about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch...

Grab a paper back book off the shelf and look at all the different ways the Publishers name is arranged.

I just want it to look good!

Thought I'd fool around with it. This is a vector source so it's totally scaleable.

If someone wants to make it better I can send the source as a starting point.

I know this isn't Einstein.. but I found this example and I thought perhaps something like this would look good smaller..

Any feedback?
