Ah, 1 flaw in the plan:. bump*

I have to keep bumping the thread:.
The votes dont affect its pole position within the home page forum topics

And what would the flaw be?

Yup. Flaw that I see is that now I know (after voting) who is winning.
If I was a bad guy I'd let all my friends here know who the winner is and that way no one would vote for a (er, THE) loser.

Good thing is that I have no friends here! Razz

GOOD CHOPPING, er, em... LIQUIFYING to both contestants! Very Happy

Whats wrong with that Rein??
Everyone sees the same thing??
And just like the regular contests you know who's "winning" while the voting takes place. So whats the difference??

I think what Rein is trying to say, is the difference is my eye keeps getting a small pulse in the lower lid, and its really starting to get on my nerves...... I may be wrong but I think that is Rein hidden code problem type thing Very Happy

Close Marco - and yet so far! Very Happy

BX - I can't remember knowing who was winning or losing until the H2H closes. Maybe I just can't remember that far back, but in my memory no one knew the votes until the contest closed. And in this case the participant can vote for themselves, or their competitor and then they will also get to see the contest stats as it goes.

I'm not saying this is a HIDEOUS EVIL WRONG STINKY thing, its just that I personally find keeping the votes hidden until end of contest to be a more "fair" way to do it.

That being said, I'm not sure how this could be handled better using what we've got to work with here. You folks have done a good thing with what we have to work with. Exclamation

I wish the old H2H section of this site were still available. (hoping JMH puts it back into Version 23 of PSC) Smile

Rein, Ahhh okay
I joined in 04' but only posted like 5 images and never came back until the last two months or so.
Dont know what happened that far back.

I've never been a part of or seen what you guys have done in the past.

But like you said with what we have available to us.
I think this is the fairest way possible.

Its anonymous voting, anonymous posting:.
Just like the pepsi challenge.

But please if theres a better way, by All means!!
JMH ???

What I do like about the voting is no one will ever know who voted for whom (unless they say who they voted for) so now I don't have to feel like a jerk if whoever loses finds out I may have voted for the other entry. Razz

this is in no way disrepecting either of the contestants but its easy to see which chop belongs to which artist- you both have unique styles. both entries rock btw! Cool
