We should do a fake carving thread here. Everyone get a pic of a pumpkin and do their own fake carving. There's lots of good, royalty-free, pics at http://www.sxc.hu for those that wanna try it.

well this thread kind of accidentally stumbled upon the contest idea there are too many informal contest ideas floating around anyways, and im not good with contest dates

the contest sounds a good idea btw. i think ill paint mine because i never paint anymore and my skills are going down the drain lol

Every year I carve an elaborate pumpkin...it's kinda tradition! Don't know what this year's will be...I've done a raven, a teddy bear, a cat, vampire, yada yada yada...and Mike from Monsters, Inc.
Any suggestions?
