Ok...but this is sooooooooooo not just about the thermometer comp!
It's about the steep decline of the chops lately!

Well, I can't argue..I've been posting substandard chops.
My excuse is I had fun doing them.
I will argue one small detail...Vokaris's chop for the fishwall was the ...THE....perfect chop to do with that source.
It's chops like that that keep me tuned in to PSc. GREAT WINNING CHOP VOKARIS! ROCKSTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are right and most of us are guilty, I spent hours on something the other night only to trash it, because I didn't like it, so now I'm waiting for the chop fairy to come into my mind and spread some twinkle dust on my brain, so I'll be waiting...more later

Vokaris did do a nice job here  and I thought it was worthy also

finally i did it
i have a seriously cool chop in for ... tomorrow i think... to make up for the bad one in the other contest. it wouldnt win but i love it 
so watch out for it

on the contrary, if it is linked, i think it is a bad thing. it's not good if people are being too distracted by contests several weeks in the future to do any decent chops in the present. sure, we might get to see some great chops down the line, but any source images that seem a bit too challenging (when there are always easier chops some time in the future) are going to suffer from the same problem
