I am just curious I see Gas Prices dropping since school started back up and they will continue to drop at least till November 7th (election day)

I would bet the farm (If I had one) they will go back up after the election....

I voted yes..but the 'republicans in office' thing is a little unfair--since the dems did it before..in fact they ALL do it...
even the birds and bees...do it.

Gas prices have very little to do with politics. So much goes into the price we pay at the pump. Much of it has to do with the price of crude oil, and neither party can control that. And its not just the United States that pays a certain price for gas, so it wouldn't make much sense for our election to determine the price that other nations pay for gas. Gas will start to go up around Jan or Feb. It happens every year. Gas prices drop during the fall, and rise towards the end of winter.

graph of gas prices over the last 3 years

It's not because of elections, parties, or politics. It's simple supply and demand. It's economics.

try this link. See how gas basically rises with the price of crude oil, dipping during the colder months?

you guys have it light in america, i wouldnt worry about price rises.

in the uk, petrol hit an all time high about a month or something ago. pertrol was over £1/litre (about 2$)

to fill up an averagesized car i think it would be about $100 it i did my sums right

Well, we kinda run things differently here...and are you not paying that much because of all the wonderful programs
those huge taxes support?
As far as I know..our gas prices don't come with the right to free housing.

I don't think so! I think nobody over there has a job..I think you pay super high taxes and then that money is just given right back to you to spend again.

You are joking right? You got a three year graph where gas prices steadily increase from Nov. to Aug..then SPIKE real high--
"Somebody gott s do somethin bout dat!" says
the politicos on tv each August and then ..weeeeeeeeee
they drop really fast and really steady till election day...a week later they climd again..
Next you are going to tell me that prices go so high in August because it cost so much to drill for oil in the middle east that time of year cause it's the dead cold of winter there.
