Just heard my sons school are taking a trip in Jan to the Lowry Centre in Salford to take part in an art day and a tour of the art of LS Lowry

anyone that knows anything about this place could they send me the links or post them here so he can see where he is going.

he loves all sorts of art and cannot wait to go

he is 7 and has more artistic talent than his dad anyway, i know i know thats not hard i hear theshouts

already had that one but was wondering if anyone could tell me/him more about lowry and his art as he would really like to know more before he goes.

and seeing as we have a load of great artisits here who willof heard of him and his work i thought i could draw on your experience

Kids are amazing, I tought my nephew, who is 10, to use Photoshop, I chopped a picture that was fairly complex for a 10 year old, I showed him everything I did, how and why, after I was done, I gave him the controlls, asked him to replicate what I had just done, he blew my mind, and did a great job, then he wanted to join PSC, but I see you have to be 15, so he was bummed, check out his work Shocked

Nice chop. I like the original with the shark behind the kayak more though. Smile
I don't think jmh means for kids under 15 who are being chaperoned by a current PSC'er to stay away.
We have had other folks with young kids post before.

p.s. Having often kayaked around alligators, I can say that being that close to a shark that big would require a thorough cleaning of the inside of the kayak later. Yikes! Shocked
