Make it so that you can't post to the forum until you've posted an image or 3 ??

It would cut down the frequency of drive-by spammers.

.

I was thinking the exact same thing the last time I saw a spammer here.

Bots or humans, there's no way they'll go through the trouble of posting pics on separate days (although if they will it'll make for some very interesting submissions).

It's easy to stop spambots! In the sign up bit we should have a stage where you put a code in that you see on the screen. Spambots can't see screens!

yes, but not al spammers are spambots unfortunately (actually if you look at freelancer sites, they're are quite many offerings to do this kind of job). And these days, some companies use spambots which are able to decipher captcha images (OCR based)...

ps: btw registration here is already protected with captcha.

great idea! why not? Actually, I have an even better idea...
Some people that are new like to ask questions or reply to already-created threads, so how about they can reply to threads, but they just can't make their own thread until they've posted a certain amount of chops.

Some spammers might post in threads, but I doubt it would be so bad. the main problem here is the numerous threads that are spam.

Asked Mr.JMH about that last year.
Mr.JMH says a lot of our spammers are real people
making real money.

I found a forum for Panama that dosen't delete the spammers..OMG it literally had taken over the site like weeds (not the kind ya smoke).I found ZERO information and finally gave up.

It had mutated the entire site...
