Hi Everyone,

Is anyone running Photoshop CS2 on an Intel Based Mac?

I just received a Mac Book, and was wondering if it is okay to install CS2 on it.

I don't want to install it and then have my Mac bite the dust because of conflicts.

I have heard that the perfomance is slower than a power pc mac, but has anyone had any other issues with installation or other perfomance?

Thanks,
Jim

I have CS2 on an intel mac at work. The programs run fine individually-- the big issue is that they don't run well together. In other words, I can't have Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign all running at the same time without them crashing each other. Luckily, it's usually the program(s) running in the background that crash, and not the one I'm actively working in (though not always). But it's a pain in the ass because sometimes I need to be able to jump around quickly between the different programs.

Our IT guy did some research, and said that there's nothing that can be done to fix this issue, but CS3 supposedly has addressed and remedied it.

Anyway, if you're just concerned with how Photoshop CS2 runs on an intel mac, it's fine (I agree that it runs a bit slower though).

hope that helps...
