The anon contests are for prizes, and I think you would only vote for the one you choose as the winner" so why would people vote for more than one entry? Rolling Eyes

The ones called REM and Bread of Life are beautiful, original and well executed IMHO.

It is very interesting to see what people think is good in their opinion. Art is very personal to each individual. What turns one person on, turns another off....

Personally, I don't think they use enough source in them to be winners... yeah they are good... but winners not IMHO. There are much more original, beautiful well executed entries in that contest that use all of the source in a more predominate way. I'm also partial to 'all source' creations during these prize contests. Not relying on an outside source to help your entry is very hard work.

All sources seem to be getting the shaft lately, and personally when done well, they should always win or at least be right up there.

Shaman, I think you are absolutely right on the all-source thing. I almost wish there were two categories: one for skill and one for overall effect. I mean, that torn tube Venus that Scion did was amazing and beautiful, but I don't think it was 100% source. If only all-source pieces were eligible, then that would not have been a winner, and clearly it deserved recognition.

I do tend to lean toward the surreal - and I'm a bit of a sucker for animals, too. But that's the subjective thig creeping in, I guess. I love that alligator in the bread contest... Smile
