See, ME? I'm not gonna even glance at the PSD because I KNOW that Joey put a lot of effort into that image...and I'm gonna leave it at that.
Cool

Credit where credit is due, people.

I checked your link and after 10 minutes, PS popped up, but nothing to look at, don't you have a low res pic of your outside source? It's not that big of a deal for me anyway, I know what you did, and you did it good Very Happy

Major ditto! And I did learn a bit from that file.

Now if you could only learn to use your computer for zipping, ftp, etc. You'd be a force to be reckoned with. Laughing

My only comment (and no one likes this one) is that I'm not sure much of the original starting image was retained. You didn't manipulate the original image in anyway...not really. I believe my initial PM to you stated it was a nice image but was it a good use of the source? Your result was more an exercise in technique which could be applied at any time with any starting image.

The more "artistic" this site becomes...the more it becomes about technique...the more it becomes like the other gfx/worth1k sites out there...the more it becomes an "elite" site...the more I don't belong.

With that said...
For the first time ever, I was proven wrong. I'm glad it was you. I'll always remember my first Smile See, I was just so sure the toilet paper roll record holder thing was a fluke! I told you that back then Very Happy

What made me suspect was the great background to this image. I was impressed with the overall "artistic" look to it and I apologize for thinking you were incapable of such things.

Well done Scion and thanks for sharing. Its just more proof that what I do can not compete with some of the amazing artistic entries we see here these days.

*moves Scion from the PSC Hacks column to my PSC Hitlist column

(and...add this to gfx. I bet it gets great reviews)

Also...
for those that said "I knew what you did, it was plain to see and I dont need a psd to prove it", I think you're all full of shit. There were so many layers to that background and final entry that to state you knew just what he used to create the textures, the fish, the tree, etc is a joke. Sure we all knew some background was created using some textures and other techniques but to know that Scion did them was a different story.

Rolling Eyes
I don't believe anyone said "I knew what you did, it was plain to see and I don't need a .psd to prove it"

What I kept saying is I can see the source and where it was used... I never, nor did I see anyone else, imply what you've said above... and I really could see the sources!

you should have just kept with the kudos and admitting you were wrong... no need for the above showcase... its petty, and it takes away not only from his win, but from your apology.

There's two Shaman.

I saw the source too...I think I said that...just didnt see much of it. As I said before, we all knew textures and whatnot were used but to know what textures HE used and that weren't part of some outside source was what I was questioning.

the only thing I disagree w/ is not manipping the original...
- I spent several hours working on layers that contained only source.
