I think when the site was smaller, there were probably more people here solely for the learning, but there is definately some vote-whoring here now. I think I'd like it if everything was anon. You can learn just as much... it will just have to happen on the forum after the contest ends.

This is what we need..period.
A...Two days a week anon-- prize or not.
(A lot of people will only post anon cause that's what they like..let 'em have it)
B...weekends and one weekday regular open contest.
(That's three to please those working at getting better, and
just for those who like it that way)
C...TWO "weekdays" for old school--no one sees source till 8am..everybody is NON-advantage for those two weekdays.
(I know for a fact a HUGE number of old schoolers would return to chopping JUST for this--It's great for the site in so many ways.
If you don't like it, you're selfish, jealous and afraid of any real competition.)
Anybody is free to disagree with my opinion...
IF you disagree..you are wrong and don't know what you're talking about.

Part of the fun of this site for me is the banter during the voting process. When it's an anon. contest I just simply vote and go home. It's also nice to keep tabs on how someone's work is progressing after they join PSC. I know I would have left a long time ago if a couple of people on here hadn't been as supportive and helpful as they have. Just my 2 cents worth.

Love all the ideas. I have even done a few of the contests lately (in fact the last 4) where I did wait till the start to start chopping (A) Because I didn't have any good ideas (B) because I wanted to do the old school chop on the fly like I used to... I love the pressure of doing something well and doing it quickly.
Bravo. keep squeaking shady, maybe you'll get the grease Wink

Whats the point of anon contest if i can still tell who did the chop? i mean, everyone has his/hers style... like micose. Very Happy

All the more reason for someone to chop an image that is not "of their norm"...break down a few walls...experiment...do something totally unexpected.

(And I agree with Scion...)

And if Anonymous is only the chopper and not the votes?

No, votes should stay anonymous as they are now...cuts down on "herd voting"...
