Hope your doing ok Rey considering the circumstances. Thank you Katrina for letting us know. I wish you both the best through all this as each of you have to take on your own things. Hope you recover fast Rey.

Hey Ya'll!!
I'm Back. I still have a rotting appendix in my stomache. They did not want to cut it out yet because it is so infected that they would have to take out part of my colon too and they didn't want to do that. (I didn't want them to do that either. I like my colon. We are very close.) They sent me home with a bucket of antibiotics and told me Good Luck. They said if I could get rid of the infection, Then they will take the appendix out at a later date through my belly button. (1 day.. In-and-out) If the infection does not go away and if I start getting fevers again they may have to cut me open the hard way. Right now I can go back to work  (don't tell anybody) I'm not in much pain...never was. Just a little. It feels like I have a balloon in my stomach. sometimes,a sharp ballon. Thanks for all the kind words and for keeping up the "a year ago today" thread. My wife had a rough time.( I have the greatest wife in the world) Last night I spiked a fever so she thought that they were not going to let me go. Then, she woke up this morning and our kitty cat was dead. (nancers cheering in the background) My daughter is going to be crushed.
The cat was only seven. I think it ate something it shouldn't have.
When it rains it pours.  Well, thanks again everyone. I'm going to take the rest of the week off from work. Maybe I'll even chop something.

Oh, ReyRey, I'm so sorry about the kitty!  I lost a 9-year-old cat a few years back... she had a stroke.
I'm glad you're back - take care of yourself. good luck with that rotting appy.

puh, sounds heavy with your colon, good idea to let it heal instead of cutting it out. hope you are careful in the meanwhile and listen to your body if it should get worse, promise? As many humans, animals are leaving us often too soon, I lost my dachshound-girl several years ago, and she was just 6 years old. sad but true, like metallica says...

Oh, Rey, I'm so sorry for the loss of your kitty! That's horrible! I'm very glad, however, that you are on the road to be well enough to get surgery to then go on the mend! What an awful lot to go through. You're just working on getting it all out of the way now, and the rest of the year will be golden!  ((((HUGS)))) to you and your family!
