how is begin actually your procedures if you to process a picture?
I mean, what are you doing first with the source?

first thing I do is resize image to 300 dpi and set the scale to 30cm x whatever the height ratio of that may be.

Then I set about extending the source to fit my chosen proportions I have for my portfolio.

The the fun begins Very Happy

If I have no ideas , I'll pick which element I think I'd like to use from the source and isolate it, clean it up.
If it's only a small area of the source I'll crop it out and then enlarge that to work on it first.

that to, especially if its a 'hard' or 'difficult' source, playing with the elements of a source can bring great ideas Very Happy

I use polar coordinates both ways first to see if there is anything I see in the distortions.
