example
Code:

<a name="anchorA" >Letter A</a>
all names listed here with a
<a name="anchorB" >From B</a>

then you need a link that points to that anchor, but instead of using a 'normal url' you use something like #anchorname
Code:

<a href="#anchorA">A</a>
<a href="#anchorB">B</a>
<a href="#anchorC">C</a>

Don't know if you're going for validation, finestcall, but I believe using the <a> tag for an anchor name is deprecated in XHTML 1.0 Strict. Instead, you would link to an id (which is always unique on the page). Like this:

Code:

<a href="#something">Link to something</a>

And then somewhere on the page:
Code:

<div id="something" >Something<br />
This is the content for something!</div>

This solution actually makes a lot of sense. Then, you don't have to go through and set up artificial points to link to. You simply link to elements within your already existing structure (assuming that you use id's to name unique elements of your pages, which you should).

Great job guys! That's some serious help right, there! Cool

finestcall, if you still want the pop-up menu (and as long as this is not for a grade), I have some code that I've done and I can tweak it for your purposes.
If you give me the names of the categories you want and links they should go to I can change it up for you and send you the code.

Let me know.

Might I suggest some "back to top" links on the contacts listing?

Either that or create a DIV layer that floats on the page so that it scrolls down with the content as the user scrolls/jumps.

Otherwise that's a tight looking page. Much better than the old heinous one. Yeah I used the word again. Points you know.
