I found out Yesterday that I have Luekemia!!! No! I'm not kidding!! Luekemia! I can't F$#@!!g win! First my appendix explodes, Then I stop breathing, Then I pass a kidney stone, The cat dies, My wife gets a ticket, I have uncontrollable panic attacks, and Now............Luekemia!!!!! WTF!!!!!!.......All within a month!!.................Ok...I'm done now. The good news is, I got out of jury duty.
My doctor said, I have a type of luekemia that is more treatable than others. They have new meds that seem to work very well. (they should. They are over $1000 per perscription) I have not started them yet. I need to find out if my insurance will cover it.
I've been going to work and trying to live my life as normal as possible. The panic kicks in every now and then and I am finding it hard to eat. (I've lost 16 pounds) Hopfully these meds work for me and I will be choppin' soon.

Holy shit, ReyRey!

When I was about 17 or 18, one of my campers (I was a camp counsellor) went home sick and we later found out she had leukemia. I'm happy to report that she recovered fully and is now well. Fight it out, Rey. You know the whole PSC community is pulling for you. The fact that it is more treatable than others is indeed good news. Keep us posted and take care of yourself!!

always look on the bright side... if you're like me and hate to go to the doctor, at least because of your appendix you were able to find out about the leukemia early.... not that great of a bright side, but hey you could have found out when it was too late....
