ok i have a project for school and i need to make the david bowie writing to go along with the bottle
now if only i knew how the hell the 3D transform tool works.....
it's a very annoying tool, i read a few tutorials about it and i still got no clue..... so maybe there is another way to do it....
i'd apriciate the help

3d transform
select the cylinder tool thingy....
make a cylinder shaped like your bottle
rotate the cylinder to line it up with the text like you want....
then presto.......either it works or doesnt  
I don't really like that tool, but I have used it before.
Good luck....maybe someone can tell you a better way

Alltough the following tutorial might be a bit too far fetched for 'just' a text it might come in handy
It uses Illustrator and photoshop, using the powerfull smart objects functionality

needs perspective, bigger at the near end, some gradiant blur at the far end
