I am starting a new wallpaper type of site and want to get some really cool papers included. Like unique ones.

I'm looking at mainly two different resolutions.

1280x1024 - 19"
1680x1080 - 22" widescreen

It can be of any theme - I just want quality work. It can be on any theme, whatever you want. Your fave actor, fave game whatever.

Get paid for each paper and doing what you enjoy or do as a hobby.

I was thinking $5 for each one - after the first 10 you do, I would then pay $10 for each one

So for the first ten - $50

For the second ten - $100

I'm willing to spend as I Really want to make something unique and have a bunch of unique walls.

I'd like them to mainly be like ones of Celebs/Movies/Tv Shows/Sports Players/Sports Teams

If your interesed, let me know

That's cool. So if I spend the $400-$2500 to have a "Celebs/Movies/Tv Shows/Sports Players/Sports Teams" pose in a studio for pictures that I would own the copyright to, do a little photoshop work to turn something into a neat wallpaper, I'd get a $5 rebate on my expenses? Better throw in some commission from the Google Ad space you'll be selling.

hbay, just to let you understand a couple of things

Some people consider themself "professional" people. Professional usually stands for good work, so payment should be good too. If you want professional work you better cough up some more (professional) dollars.

ps: allthough I don't consider myself a professional I do ask professional commissions. Very Happy

Just a question...If I was to do this, how would I get the Image rights to NFL teams or sports teams in general to use their likeness, or any celebrity's for that matter??? Only getting paid $5, Is still getting paid, so then you become commercial and can get sued right? I understand we can use, the free images we use now, only because were not getting paid for it....is that how it works???? ......... anybody..........

Copyright infringement. When you lift a portion of the photo, you are adapting, or modifying that image without permission, which is an act of infringement, - the copyright owner has the sole right to adapt, or modify his/her work. Some legal experts would say that if the taking is relatively slight, and insignificant to the original work, and it doesn't hurt the commercial value of the original, then many courts would allow the use. Technically, under the copyright law, you cannot use someone else's copyrighting image without their permission, unless you would be willing to risk a lawsuit.

It's also not okay to copy images from foreign publications without getting permission. This means that a copy of Britain's Financial Times enjoys the same copyright protections in the United States as the American Wall Street Journal -- conversely, the Wall Street Journal distributed in Britain is also protected in Britain by British copyright laws.

For public figures: Advertising; Commercial Use - not okay: You absolutely cannot use anyone's image, celebrity or not, for any advertisement or endorsement without permission.
Photo of Celebrity: Separate Copyright: While a celebrity is a public figure, it is important to remember that a particular photo of that celebrity is subject to the same copyright protections as any other original work, and must be licensed.

I copy and pasted this information from

http://www.medialawyer.com/lec-copy.htm

Please don't file a lawsuit against me. There's a lot more information at that website.
