Fark has them...

W1K has them...

What do you think the cliche' entries are here at PSC?

So far I'd say:

- Putting the source into an eye (no offense to anyone and yes some are great)
- Putting a scantily-clad woman into the chop for no reason other than to do it
- Jigsaw puzzles (I even did this one early on)

What others can you think of? Razz

Edit - Changed the thread title. We're just talking about recurring themes here. Not implementing any Machiavellian rules. I'm just wondering what members have notice coming up repeatedly. Whether it's a theme that bugs you, gets you everytime, etc. Simply discussion. Smile

Please don't go there.
WK1 drove me nuts with their stupid Cliche rule. I got kicked out temporarily on my first entry at WK1. It was a beginner contest and the source image to use was a photo of a store from the old west. I cut and pasted that store shop and placed it as the head of a Storm Trooper's body.... I titled it, "Store Trooper".

They acted like I put up porn or something. I never understood the rule fully and it took the fun out of making something with humor. BLAH!!! STORE TROOPERS RULE!!!

I remember when I was new and the first time I saw a jigsaw puzzle, I voted for it and my comment was something like: "Wow! What an amazing idea, you're like the biggest genius ever"... or something like that Rolling Eyes Embarassed Laughing Laughing Laughing

There are clean ups

and clean ups
http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/89931/cleanest-camper-ever.html

Sometimes when you want to use as much as possible of the source image a Clean up is just "step 1"

1) Look. it's daylight. Now it's night.
2) Look, it's raining
3) Look it's snowing
4) look, I own the flood filter
5) Look Photoshop has cool filters
6) Look I flipped the image, added ripples, and called it a reflection in the water.
7) Look, it's bleeding
Cool Look I found a picture of a texture and layed it over a face. Now it looks like a scar. Wow! Call it a day.
9) LENSE FLARE!!!! YES!!!!!
10) Look it's the PSC logo. I must vote for it!!! (My favorite) Wink

They are all ok if you take them to the next level.
