I still believe this site is one of the best going on, and I will probably continue to renew my advantage membership every year, but personally, the site has changed.

Just look at the number of entries posted for each contest over a year's time. The number of entries have decreased or remained flat. I hardly see any of the old timer's chops anymore.

well, of course it's still a great site.
But there are still things that I find unappealing. I don't understand how Advantage members were told that they would never see ads at all, but now I seem to see them on every other page anyway. The text ads aren't terrible, but from time to time there are still the annoying as hell animated banners. I know that Proc is running the site now, but usually things like that aren't reneged upon.

The other one is what I said before. It shouldn't be so hard to scoot the small toolbar over a bit at the top so that the 'favorites' will go back to where it should be. Same with the Videos button which knocks down the Advantage button. These two things are technically, practically, and visually annoying.

What can this site do to increase participation?

It seems the prize thing isn't working out all that well.

Maybe the site needs some advertisement, such in Photoshop User Magazine, etc.

Just a suggestion Smile

seems to be OK now that its 10am CST. but at 8am CST when I created this, boy was it sluggish and its been that way for quite some time now... maybe all the traffic here at the start of the contests is causing it to slow down?
