I have some questions if anyone is available to answer them right now!

like -

1. when do you get the image to work with?
2. do advantage members get the image ahead of non-members?
3. are people actually working 2 whole days straight on each image, or just when they can? (cause that puts a lot of pressure on for those of us who work full-time)
4. what is the deadline time if you live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (considered Mountain time in Canada)
5. what do these 64 round things mean?
6. does absolutely everyone get the same images?
7. what does anonymous mean in reference to this contest?
8. is it too late to sign up... I just received an e-mail today?

can someone please explain exactly what is entailed, and what happens through each step.

I don't want to sign up and then be unable to participate, and then be banned from entering again later.

thanks so much and I apologize if it appears I am an idiot... I assure you I am not... I just want to really understand how this works!

When the first monday (PSC time) of the specified date is set.

318830 wrote:

Nope, played last year (or was it the year before that? Yep year before that) all members playing get the same image on the start date, only a matter what time they manage to get a look at it.

318830 wrote:

You get 2 days to work and submit, 2 days to vote, if you fail to submit, you are disqualified.

318830 wrote:

I dunno, you gotta calculate that for yourself.

318830 wrote:

5. what do these 64 round things mean?

Head 2 Head style knockout rounds are best done in numbers of 2,4,8,16,32,64,128 etc (like calculating binary) this way it is easy to make rounds for each player that progresses to the next round and is faced with their respective opponent from the tournament tree. (Now don't ask me about them odd numbers like 96, I get confused when it comes to that)

318830 wrote:

6. does absolutely everyone get the same images?

Yes. Of course.

318830 wrote:

7. what does anonymous mean in reference to this contest?

No one is mentioned with their respective entry. (Only you would know which one is yours and which one is the opponent's, others (which are voting) will only see 2 nameless entries, and will not see the number of votes already cast (until the round finishes)) Oh and if I recall, you nor your oppent will currently see the number of votes cast for YOUR entry (not who voted for that matter), only the votes in total for both entries. (to maintain secrecy of course)

318830 wrote:

Dunno, ask a Moderator.

No you won't be penalized for not being to enter outright (due to being late to apply) You will only be barred from entering the next H2H, if you fail to enter in a round.

Well hope this can be of some assistance, basic generic H2H rules apply. Smile

The 96 entries isn't too hard to follow.

The 32 highest-rated entrants (by PSCore stat) get an automatic bye in the first round. This leaves 64 who are paired up in the first round. So, for the second round, the 32 winners of the first round will meet up with the 32 players who received bye's.

So rounds 1 & 2 will both be comprised of 64 players. After that each round will go down by half. Like so:

Round 1 - 64 players
Round 2 - 64 players (32 from byes and 32 from round 1 winners)
Round 3 - 32 players (the winners from round 2)
Round 4 - 16 players
Round 5 - 8 players - Quarterfinal matches
Round 6 - 4 players - Semifinal matches
Round 7 - 2 players - Final match where the winner is the champion.

So basically, what you're saying is the 32 top "players" (PSC score) automatically go to round 2, and can simply forgo the 1st round source? (or are just there to view it)

Totally agree. It always bums me out when I see that someone didn't get in because they didn't register fast enough.
