Well Dr.Jordan is in a coma, and also happens to be the only brain specialist within 500 miles of Mossy oaks.
The telephone lines are still down from that sudden storm, and
Merissa is still trapped in the basement with the water still getting higher and higher. I think it was crazy Aunt June who locked the door, hopefully we'll find out tomorrow.
I'm just glad it's not a Friday and we'd have to wait all the way till Monday to find out.
We also learned that Harry is adopted and his secret love affair with Merissa may have a new twist....there's been hinting that she may be his long lost sister. I don't think her husband locked the door, cause he's supposed to still be in Paraguay with the Peace Corps...although noone has heard from him and his party since the revolution.
As far as the wealthy South American Man with all the shady connections go, we still don't know his name, and personally.....I think he's just there as window dressing.

I didn't see the resulting contest image, but I understand from reading this thread what was done.

It's been a long time since I seriously participated in a contest, but back in the day when I cared about what I submitted, doing something like this would have been considered cheating.

I mean, part of the contest is searching for outside sources through Google Images (or wherever). Some people spend a lot of time struggling to find that perfect outside source of a hand, car, etc. to work into their final image of the finished contest entry.

To have your own personal stash of outside source pics that you took pictures of at the same time as the source photo that you submitted. And then to use them?

No offense, but I would have a difficult time struggling with my conscious while creating that contest entry.

IMHO this is a far more egregious infringement of what is fair and honest and needs to be acted upon.

I've loosely created a *rough* outline addressing the issue Scion pointed out above before hijacking this thread a second time with his wonderful story update for DP (hopefully additional story updates will be forthcoming). And most likely there is a thread, possibly hundreds, which have tried to address this issue, all to no avail. Maybe there is hope to make PSC into something which holds people to higher standards but it'll take a lot of work on the part of many brave choppers to help get it there. Let us begin.

Review existing rules. Define the violations and provide examples. This would also entail reviewing copyrights and parody, and how much one can borrow from an existing work to create another.

Violations
    1) Copyrighted material which could jeopardize PSC
    2) Artwork from another artist passed off as one's own
    3) Using additional source angles on your own source submission

Methods for flagging a potential violator:
    1) Direct contact through PM
    2) Direct contact using existing comment feature
    3) Add an additional anonymous feature to the comment section which would allow a person to flag an entry for possible violations
    4) Contact mods

Contacting potential violator
    1) If a mod is contacted will they be able to respond in time?
    2) How do we determine whether an entrant is not responding or unavailable?

Potential violator response
    1) Provide external source credit
    2) Voluntarily remove the entry

No Response
    1) Entry is removed
    2) Mod sends PM to PSC member explaining why

End of first rough draft.

This is exactly how this case has been treated. Except for the Potential violator response. dp got crazy, then he exploded in chat and started this 5 pages thread asking to remove Mightybeet Gordonk entry...
