I did not sign up because I did not want to pull a no show. Shocked I should have entered. Laughing Laughing

no-shows, recount
2004 = 24
2005 = 23 including 5 in round# 2, and 1 in round #3
2006 = 8
2007 = 26,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so far Wink
so it seems about 25 no-shows in a full contest is the norm

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't those numbers (for the previous years) the cumulative totals for the entire tourney? Also was it only 64 entrants in round 1 of 2006 (I don't remember and am to lazy to look)?

Here's another thought that may dissuade no-shows. "Entry fee". Doesn't have to be much. Maybe $5 (you do the math for your country). Monies from the entry would go to the 1st place prize.

Either that or make it a bigger entry fee with a refund as long as you don't no-show.

Yeah it'll never work.

I am not an advantage member, because I don't use credit cards... so I would not be able to participate if there was a fee charged

is someone going to get a bye in round #2?
that shouldn't happen...

my suggestion...(haven't read all posts so sorry in advance)

the losers who lose by the lowest margin get put back in the proverbial hat. in the event of 2 people getting the same margin of loss, the one who reaped the higher total gets it.
If its bizarrely still equal...then a mud wrestling bout determines who will get a second chance !

3 complete no shows...3 resurrections.

I'd never do that. If the lord wanted tourney's to have $5 entry fees, they would have been born that way... err...

Current voting pattern (number of votes per match).
Reds are the one-sided matches (no-shows) where BillTV is currently in the lead.
