K.B. the swipe clean IS a magnetic swipe. I use an old commercial grade magnetic tape eraser to do that part of the job. The drill press is just a reassurance of a 100% kill. Ten seconds later and its done.

Apple juice jokes aside, I've had two friends, both hit hard with credit and identity theft issues. One almost had his business taken away, the other had his house mortgaged out from under him. Bottom line, the source of all the trouble was financial files that were thought to have been safely removed from old business computers and family hard drives. Never to careful these days, blah, blah... blah...
