Nasty. I don't see any smoke coming from the Death Stick, but I'd have to say that it probably ISN'T a chop.

Tss tss.. I wouldn't let my kid run around with a lighter. Dangerous to play with fire...
Next time he wants to smoke he should ask his dad or mom to lit the cig

It probably is real.
There's a show on National Geographic Channel called "Taboo" and it covers a wide variety of subjects. One particular show I watched was about how different cultures raise kids.
There are kids who are very young who do indeed smoke, and the parents don't see anything wrong with it.

someone needs to translate the sign because it looks as though the little fellow may be doing it to support his family. i'm talking really translate it....i know reinman will have a chop with his translation on it before this gets written. .i was just hoping someone here maybe could translate the writing to see what is really going on. maybe korean

This is not real. The sign next to him says, "I need money for cigarettes" in Khmer. If he had cigarettes, why would he need the sign? Obviously the artist does not live in Cambodia.

i do notice india shrinery, and teen baby on his shirt....maybe he's been smoking a while and the whole growth thing has really taken hold. maybe even india pattern cloth in the backdrop so any one form india or korea know what that sign says

Though, he might need more cigarettes, and need money for them. ?
