I'm already running into problems. Just read the CS3 readme and it says I need 22GB free for a full install. My work machine only has a 40GB drive. It's already loaded with MS Studio 2005 Pro and some other development tools I need.

I'm thinking that I'll have to just go with Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop. Confused Guess I won't be putting After Effects and Encore on this machine at all even though it does have 2GB of RAM. Crying or Very sad

Sounds to me like a good justification for a new work computer--so you can fully utilize the software they already invested in! Wink

Well, confession, I had work buy the master collection so that I could edit video (even though that's not on my job description). Guess I'll have to wait until I get a new PC at work though. Confused

Unfortunately I'm not on the hardware upgrade list for at least another year. Maybe two. Crying or Very sad

no more Audition splodge... they substituted it with Soundbooth.

I love Encore though. DVD authoring with PS is quite fun.

It's a laptop. I suppose I could pop the $50 and get a drive on my own but then I'll have to reinstall and reconfigure everything I use for work. That's a major pain and 2 day minimum process.

There's no video capture card on this computer so I'll do without the video editing tools (for now). So I just installed everything except video/dvd & audio editing software and related support files. Ended up only needing about 5GB for all that.

Neat surprise was to find that the disc in the jewel case labeled "3/3" is a DVD of video workshop tuts from Adobe and lynda.com. Says the DVD "contains over 13 hours of or professional training" for just about every Adobe software package. This will be fun to look over. Very Happy

You can clone a small HD onto a bigger one (and have the rest of it free space or partition as your heart desires). No need to reinstall. PowerQuest DriveImage comes to mind.

would 3Gb make that big of a difference? You´d get Premiere and all its resources (that you CAN´T not install... 2Gb... that sux)
