That would be cool but it doesn't have to be 5 years. I think 2 or three is plenty.

145 days to catch up, it used to take me 2-3 minutes to cook a new post (tracking down the correct pages, links and thumbnails) so give or take 6 hours worth of work.

What we need is a programmer guru to make a script for including this feature on the front page, perhaps under "This Week's Leaders"

yeah, 3 - 5 mins a post. Well??? as I asked, should we give it a go??
I'm prepared to put in some time. It would be nice to get it back up. Maybe we could post instructions on how to do it, and some others might chip in and help.

Lets make a decision....

My method (remember, i'm pretty useless!)
1. Open the five contests in tabs
2. Reply with quote
3. Remove quote tags.
4. manually change the contest number in the five tabs by adding 1.
5. check to see they are all valid (sometimes have to add again on older comps)
6. change to the correct contest number in the quoted reply
7. copy thumbnail image address from each contest tab and paste accordingly between [img] tags in the quoted reply
8.post

I suppose, but it is a shame with such a long running thread to have a big gap

My method
1. Reply with quote to post from previous date
2. Delete the quote/end quote tags
3. add +1 to each contest number
4. preview post
5. middle click on (old) thumbnails in preview to open (new) contest pages
6. if landing on 'contest invalid page' add +1 to contest number in title bar until correct
7. copy thumbnail image address from each contest tab and paste accordingly between [img] tags in the quoted reply

Do you want to go halves?
You give it a hit and post "tag"
Then I'll give it a hit and post "tag"
We don't have to knock ourselves out. Post when time allows. Maybe a week or two and we're back up to speed???
