Even thou the regular voting process at this site is odd and subject to friendly votes, It's never really bothered me since I'm just here to pass time now and then.
What I have noticed thou is the number of entries that don't even get the common courtesy of being looked at other than in thumbnail form.
I've watched over a long period of time...just using the 1st page of entries, the sometimes wide variation of page views. Sometimes being 100 or so in difference.
I think it would be a nice idea to have the format made so that you should have to scroll thru all the entries...which I realize wouldn't work well with the odd voting process.
By odd I mean for example: The contest running now "Blade Climbing" Theres 51 entries, and I have 25 votes....I dont get the logic behind this.
Personally, I would like to scroll thru ALL the entries and score them all what i feel they are worth. Simple and effective and no one gets looked over because there thumbnail picture doesn't warrant enuf curiosity or courtesy for all of us to look at closer. You don't know what your missing when you don't...
Being that new entries are coming in at different times, I'm sure there is away to go thru all the entries you havn't scored yet, so there is no need to go thru them all again.
Regardless if this site changes or doesn't...it's still a nice way to pass my time, but I thought since I've never bothered to show my face in the forums or chat room, I figured I'd throw my 2 cents in today.

And again, I don't mean only those with prices. No-prices contests as well.

@ Rogue25 - Why do you think everybody only looks at the thumbnails? Once you click on the first image, you scroll through the images using go to next image button, so where is the problem?

And there are three anonimous contests real soon, Yeay!! For those that care about votes.

For me it isn't about votes. Tho I understand it might be for some.

Personally I find it more exiting and fun not knowing whom I vote for.

Also it would feel better getting a vote knowing it was for what I have done, not for my name, what other posters have said or because I voted for someone else. Today I do not know if that is what happening when I get a vote.

But this is personal wishes. I understand many don't wan't this.

But I still write the letter for Santa. Laughing

Those at the top get more views because they're cleaner, better executed, more creative and well thought out than those with zero votes.

And, you should know by now....the thumbnail can make or break your image.

Marco submitted a late one the other day and it rose to the top within a day or two...so I think most people are looking and checking back.

No anon comp will ever be completely anonymous here...

I am not talking about marco. There are many that fly to the top even with a late entry. I am talking about I do not want the names attached to the images. Because it is more fun. Very Happy And if people is cheating as you say they should be disqualified.

Haha! So, this issue is brought up again!I just want to react because I remember a day or two ago after my post in one thread about the BSU group http://photoshopcontest.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=8534&start=30 , Splodge , a moderator, reacted saying that 'buddy voting' and ' dumping all votes on the first day' are still working, I was hurt, a bit Laughing , but he said sorry explaining that he was talking about everyone else here. My point is, him as a moderator, really knows that there's really a problem with the system, then why not fix it?
