Do you think we should be required to show external sources?

I do. Taking credit for someone else's work is wrong. Some people will win because it looks so great but later I find out that it was just the source plus someone else's freakin' awesome background. Somethings just don't deserve the wins that they get.

YAUT

Define YAUT: YET ANOTHER USELESS THREAD

This has been discussed many times before... with the same outcome.

Actually we should award points to whomever can point out a URL to an uncredited external image which is someone else's art work. The harder the image is to find the more points one gets. And of course a thread should be started while the contest is ongoing. It would add another level of excitement and deviousness to PSC.

Copyright free images or images one purchases need not be credited, but it helps others to see what went into the work.

We can always ask the author for the links before giving our votes. If no reply then we have to decide.

I used to always link my sources, then I got to a point where hardly anyone was checking them, any external I use is always heavily edited and manipulated anyways, never just gets slapped into my work as I found it.

Each to there own I guess. You can usually tell ammount of externals and work done to them though, if your eyes are trained in the fine art of the chop that is Wink
