timers are not extreme......if you were casing a house and saw lights come on....and go off..... through out the house....would you break in? It's all in how your brain preceives things....The tv lasting longer by not turning it on and off is somewhat true.......Computers are the exact same way.

Sorry about your problems. Maybe have a relative or friend stay at your place while you're gone. Mail you can get a po box cheap and have everything go there.

With your purse put an ad in the local paper (Reward if found) Sometimes they only want the cards and cash, and toss the rest. Some lost and found may be sitting on the rest.
The credit companies for sure advise them and document it. So if anything goes wrong you have doc. of advising them of the loss. So then they are responsible. SS# i don't know what you can do? Maybe contact SS dept and ask if they can issue you new number.

just had a brain fart..............i know what you could do...........trash your house before leaving.....every room....throw all your garbage out on the lawn . Turn on all tvs and just dump the cable cord....that way its just static showing......now lay the main tv in the floor on its side. THERE that aught to do it. Now they will think someone beat them to it. SEE perception
