If someone points out a mistake you have made on your entry.

I will not edit my image to improve it because it may cost me votes

(Update)

No editing forum posts once they've been posted. That's cheating.

I want my money back.

*edit*
And I mean it.

btw, it's ok for me to edit my posts, because I'm just here to have fun.

Votes are great and I judge my progress on them. I have changed an entry after votes are cast, but they will be subtle changes i.e. shadows here or there or a little blur (from recommendations) but not too much as to take away from the total picture. I'm here to learn and I value the opinions of others. If they give me a vote okay, if not, that's okay too. It just didnt measure up to what some concider great, good, outstanding, eyecatching, whatever. Everyone has their own style! Mine is certainly not for professional publication, purely entertainment value Very Happy

Thanks everyone that has given me advice!

Jeff

I like the comments, I could really care less about the votes. Anyone can leave a vote, but the comments mean someone took 2 seconds of their life to say something other than ...

Plus, I am here to learn and this site has helped me in so many of my art classes. I have actually had other students tell me they were intimidated by my work Smile That is reward enough for me!

Some of my designs I made for classes are on my deviant art site (link on my pro) if anyone cares to see. They are the most recent posts.

If someone makes a good suggestion I'll edit my image just and only for the challenge. If I don't know how to do what they suggested I'll pm them and try their way on it. I'll always make my edits my best because I don't want to disappoint the people that already voted for me. This had to be one of my favorite contests of all for just this reason. http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/84025/la-mail-must-get-through.html People were challenging me along the way and it was a blast to do. I wouldn't have cared if it got votes or not. It was just fun and I learned alot. Wink Smile

Laughing me too!

I think so long as you're just 'improving' on the original idea (IE adding shadows, fixing color issues) there are no problems. Its when an entry I vote for completely changes from Kittens to Elephants that I get angry.

We're back on the subject of Kittens, eh. Those lolcats really must be an infinite source of eternal wisdom.
