When I use the free hand lasso tool on my PC XP CS3, the warning window comes up that less than 50% of pixels were selected. Magnetic and polygon lassos work. Does anyone know how to fix my problem?

top of the toolbar that usually runs horizontal across the top Jims, it says feather, you must have the value set far to high to grab anything, usually for selections dependant on the sharpness you wish to get, a vlaue of 0 - 3 is what you want, my guess is the numeric value in the feather window on yours is set far higher. Bump it down to 0 or 1 then try.
