I have a summer job in NM at a Spa (Santa Fe/Espanola Area) for 6-7 months but lost my dogsitter in Florida and need to take them with me now. I did find a place out there but it has stairs and 1 dog with hip problems.

Origionally I was going to stay at the Spa and try to find a place once I got there and come and get them.

Soooooooo I have 2 weeks to find a room that will let me have 2 black labs or find a dogsitter in Florida...(no stairs)

I know its a long shot but if you know anyone in that area that may know someone etc...please PM me..

Thanks!

Sass

ewww... don't use craig's list for anyone taking care of your "kids"... 2 legged or 4 legged kinds! Haven't you heard the horror stories just lately with stupid people that got sitters from Craig's list. One had their kid kidnapped, the other's little girl got whacked in the head and is in a coma or critical care now... I can't imagine finding someone for a pet there either!

I'd try a reputible pet boarding facility (even PetSMart has Pet Hotels) even if it's just for a weekend until you find an apartment for the 3 of you. Otherwise, what about family?

Look up veterinarians in the area where you're going to. Contact them and ask them about boarding services. Some vets provide boarding themselves and most should know of reputable kennels or dog sitters in the area.

Thanks guys..I did all that ..called boarders and vets and the humane society to see if they knew of anyone renting room.I did hear horror stories on Craigslist Whimsea its one of the reasons I also said no.the spa is in the boonies so few rentals,If I couldn't find a place cheap then it defeats the purpose of going out there .I have a guy coming in a few minutes to look at house for dogsitting hre in florida.

Posting here was one of few options left....6 degrees to Espanola! Laughing Laughing

I will look up the site Proc posted...Thanks!
