When I use IE to obtain a screen shot, it always works, hit print screen and then open photoshop and hit paste and even if a pic is flash I can grab it.

But when I have Firefox as the browser this feature does NOT work. I can hit printscreen all day and nothing happens. Is there a way to capture an image (screen shot) with Firefox? Thanks Very Happy

Edited. I DID NOT MEAN fireworks..... sorry for the confusion I meant the mozilla browser Firefox.

I've never had problems getting screen grabs using Firefox. Confused

Have you tried ALT-PRTSCRN to get just the active window?

There's lots of free software out there for capturing screenshots. I use MWSnap. It works for me. Smile

At one point I had written my own screen cap program. Worked on command, keystroke and timer. The captures could then be saved as bmp or jpg. All it did was send the print screen keystroke to the underlying OS. Dropped it after a while as there were so many other screen grabbers and the print screen usually works just fine. Laughing
