should the PSC rules be relaxed slightly in relation to artistic nudes etc

Yes they should, but obviously still monitored closely.

No, leave it how it is. Our children must wait until they are 21 to see any.

Hey Bneises - Don't you know that you are suppose to organize your desk/furniture/comp monitor so that when someone walks in you are facing them and they can't see your comp screen (haven't you watched any old american western movies??? keep your back to the wall).

Seriously though, if someone walks in and sees you have a Michael Angelo sculpture on your screen would that be a prob? A lot of serious nude art uses shadow, body profile, texture, etc... to create art. Playboy, Penthouse, etc... are not art! If nudity is allowed on psc I don't think that you will end up seeing a lot of it, and what is posted I think will be tastefully done. And if crap is posted I think the PSC community will shame/banish that person pretty quickly.

I think that we should give it a try - maybe I'm giving the psc group to much credit (I don't think so) but I don't think they are all going to turn into a bunch of pervs going porn/nude/crazy! I don't think it will be a problem - if wrong we could always go back.

Abide by the rules. Simple.

Nearly every half naked woman image gets big votes. I know, not too fair, huh.

Scion Shade - are u speaking for u-r self?

Maybe I am naive -- and the majority of the psc members would feel the need the be porn mined --- ???? But I think the psc group would be good - with maybe a few new comers that would be asses that we'd have to run off (and maybe 1 or 2 oldtimers) !

But how do we know till we find out. Do we go off the edge of the world to discover if it is round or flat - or stay secure in our flat knowledge and safety? How far back do we have to go to conform an be 'safe'.

The Roman Catholic Church - sorry, it should be lower case -- rcc: convicted a famous astronomer in the 1400's (?) for saying the earth revolved around the sun instead of the reverse. And this person died in confinement! Witch hunts, spanish inquisition, killing a woman for not wearing a mask (present day) ......

HERE are my questions:
1) If a 'classic' nude work of art is used in a chop should it be banned by the psc high morale council?
2) Should we ban any entry with nudity - even though most psc members will do an entry well
3) just because there is nudity in a 'chop' should it automatically be considered crap, porn, offensive, .....
4) is psc so far gone that we can't trust our members to recognize art from crap?

I know I haven’t been here long enough to give my 2 cents on how any contest is run here, but I can chime in as a parent.
Both of my kids are young and yes impressionable, an having them see a naked body doesn’t bother me if the context is right.

Soon enough they’re going to get to the point of being aware of their own bodies, an I don’t want them to think that the naked form is a nasty thing.
That will only lead to self conciseness and embarrassment later in life.

If the picture portrays a perverted act then Yes you’re out of bounds, but if done properly then what’s the harm in a little skin showing? Why is it ok to make a post of gratuitous amounts of gore and blood –Vs- a Brest or two? I would much rather my kids think that their bodies are ok clothed or not, and not be ashamed of themselves. Rather than thinking violence and death are alright.

It’s is amazing that (in this country at least) the naked form has somehow been turned into something to be hidden because it only leads to nasty acts an immoral thoughts. While the rest of the world has seemed to find the difference between the two, and yet the same people who think the naked body as disgusting they find the Jerry Springer Show as quality family entertainment. Mad

All in all I don’t see the harm in showing breasts, ass, or pubs as long as it’s done in the spirit of the human body as an art form to appreciate. But if the intension is to get your rocks off and post filth, or shock value then I say OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! (Sorry I watched quite a few violent movies as a chilled)

Ya lost me at Roman Catholic Church in the 1400s.
How about something a little more 'relevant to our times' like Bloods
driving with no lights on and executing the first person to flash their lights.
Or property values going up, and raised taxes out pacing social security checks, which results in 90 year old widows forfeiting the home they were born in to the government.
the story of Catholics or Christians killing people for not believing in a flat Earth is quite possibly a myth. I'
I've personally heard at least several dozen different tellings of the story. I know for a fact that the Bible says the world is round, and that the world being round has been a part of Christian teachings since the earliest churches. If this event of someone being killed for believing in a flat earth did happen..it is nothing more than an odd anomaly, which certainly does not represent popular, or contemporary beliefs of that time period.

What the fuck??? I wrote something and now I see 'apple juice' in my response?????? Am I being censored???? I didn't write apple juice' or anything that nasty! I'm starting to understand these 'apple juice' references! this is BS!

Scion -- are u saying that there is nothing to learn from history? Or just that u can't learn anything from history??????

And are u somehow implying that I support drive by shootings, people being forced from their homes, or that I believe in the present f'ing tax system that drain the average person and household? FU!

My reference to the 1400's was about the sun revolving around the earth - not the earth being flat.

This is what I wrote: 'The Roman Catholic Church - sorry, it should be lower case -- rcc: convicted a famous astronomer in the 1400's (?) for saying the earth revolved around the sun instead of the reverse. And this person died in confinement! Witch hunts, spanish inquisition, killing a woman for not wearing a mask (present day) ......'

If you are going to ref against what I wrote keep it accurate !!!!! I said that the person locked up said that the earth revolved around the sun instead of the opposiste.

and u mention contemporary and popular beliefs --- what the f does that mean???? Are u now going to tell me the nazis didn't kill million of jews because in Iran it is not a contemporary or popular belief? Or are u telling me that the 'spanish inquisition' didn't happen? I will be happy to deal with facts with you anytime.

hmm..so you did talk about earth around sun rather than flat earth.
I hear the flat earth thing so much . Sorry about that, but it's not really the point.
Now did you just say FU to me?
