should the PSC rules be relaxed slightly in relation to artistic nudes etc

Yes they should, but obviously still monitored closely.

No, leave it how it is. Our children must wait until they are 21 to see any.

scion - when u miss quote me that bad, and ref things that i didn't say, u or any 1 will get an fu from me

my point in what I wrote through this thread is that: through out history we've had govt's and religions abusing the world's people for their own ends. It has happened in the past, it is happening presently, and if people can't accept human nudity it will happen in the future.

Hey Janet Dog - I feel fine!

If you have a specific problem with anything I've written please be specific! That way I can least address it - or maybe I can learn something from you regarding it.

I'll be online for the next 15 minutes if you care to go further.

Hey Janet D - 2 of your quotes:

'The rules are there before you even start to chop a picture. Chop accordingly!'
-- this thread was about discussing rules and seeing if we should change them, or maybe trying something different. It is a discussion.

'Depending on who you talk to, Pornography is art! Who will be the judge of art vs. filth?'
--- so what is your answer?? get rid of all art and all filth and then never have to deal with either? And u don't think that the psc members can tell the difference between porn & art? If someone posted porn crap don't u think that the psc community would be all over that person?

Sometimes people get excited about things and it helps to step back, Cool off, and sleep on it. PSC isn't going anywhere. If you still feel the same way tomorrow? In short, Don't step on your dick and get thrown out for being obnoxious.

ok janet d -
I get a bs gen'l stmnt from u and ask for specifics and get no asnwer from u. I then made 2 specific comments on what u wrote earlier ... and then I get more of your gen'l bs: 'Sometimes people get excited about things and it helps to step back, Cool off, and sleep on it. PSC isn't going anywhere. If you still feel the same way tomorrow? In short, Don't step on your dick and get thrown out for being obnoxious'

So now you have not only not given me anything specific that you have a problem with what I've written -- now I'm getting a side-winded generalization threat of being thrown out for being obnoxious???? because i put u on the spot for specifics??? and u don't consider your stmnt ' Don't step on your dick' obnoxious?

personally i find your generalized non specific comments obnoxious - I've called you out to be specific of your problems with me.....I'm still waiting. I've asked for specifics - that is obnoxious? sounds like you are using diversionary tactics janet instead of being honest and straight forward!

Anytime you'd like to deal with facts and specifics let me know - sorry that you feel they are obnoxious. You may get away with this avoidance bs with others but don't try it on me!

Chill Dude! Nothing here is worth embarrassing yourself and getting the boot. Besides, The nudity rule will not change. It's always been that way for a reason.

Good Night Already!

I don't care if you have 40 or 4000 posts, if you've been here forever or a day, and you can take your implied threats and put em where they belong!

And again, this was a discussion about the 'nudity rule'.

What can I say?
I’m …
- from Europe;
- living in Holland;
- half Italian!

Michelangelo's David: more than a million visitors a year!

Nudity is nothing particular for me. I visit museums in Paris, Roma, Prague, Barcelona, London, Budapest etc. That are not exactly ***** houses, I think.
I still believe the rules are okay. Because you can do anything in the name of ‘ART’. Even p*rn *) and nobody is waiting for that, although there also is beautiful p*rn. But some ethical borders give clearness in what you can do and what is not done. No problem.

Fontana di Trevi, Roma
This is pure beauty!

I find this amusing!

A few years back I was at a really nice high end Spa in Frankfurt (sp?) Germany (the spa was made to look like a South American Jungle). I went with 2 German women and when it came time to pay I surprised them and took care of the bill for all of us.

But there was a problem, the girl behind the desk started speaking in German to them and then my friends told me that she was concerned if I realized that it was a nude spa. I did, my friend told the girl working there, but the girl asked again. Again I shook my head that I understand, paid, and went in and had a great nude spa day!

So what is my point of this story? I'm from the SW FL, USA - in Germany it is normal to be nude in the spa. The reason the girl asked twice is that often Americans would pay, go in, see that it was all nude, and then demand a refund and leave.

So, is there anything wrong with the nudity at the spa? I don't think so. Is there anything wrong with the human body that we should be ashamed of it? No. It comes down to a perspective from societies and/or religions that make nudity bad.

Now, should I as an American cultured prude (I'm not) be able to walk into the spa in Germany and say: 'No more nudity!!!!' No way, if I don't like it I shouldn't go in.

But lets take the opposite - let's say I went into the spa with 2 women (which I did) and then started having sex with them in front of everyone (which I didn't) -- would that be acceptable just because it's a nude spa? Of course not!!!! I'd be arrested and dragged out.

So my point is this - if we allow nude entries (OMG!!!!) we handle it the same way. Nude is fine and can be done really well -- but if some one is vulgar and demeaning in a nude entry kick em out. If there is a really bad raunchy entry there will be comment after comment (a lot of them very nasty) calling the person who posted the entry an asshole. And if that person were to continue posting more crap (if they weren't kicked out) then they'd never get another vote or view from anyone on anything they entered.

Personally I believe that some of the best pieces of art are of woman nude, and many other art masterpieces use a woman's form and lines (not the nudity) in their creation.

Personally I think that anyone who is offended by the human body, especially a woman's, is a brainwashed ass! What's the next step?????? blind folding babies when they breast feed?

And how many source photos lend themselves to nudes? Not many. How many nudes will we see? I don't think we will see many. There have been a few really well done entries where a woman was almost nude, and with some of them they would have been better done nude. What did I read earlier??? someone couldn't show nipples for fear of getting their entry deleted? Crazy.

Where do we go next -- start destroying old nude masterpieces for fear that they are offending someone?

1- images on psc are art
2- some people pretend that artistic images that are the least bit sensual are not allowed on PSC
3- they are so convinced of the truth of their hallucinations
that your top voted image in the reunion contest has been deleted to them. They can't see it. It's not there.
