I was browsing online and found this piece of work that I thought was a photograph and turns out it's all photoshop. It's just amazing and the link of the work in progress is even more wild. Is this a hoax or truly real?

This is "adobe illustrator" illustration. No photoshop, made from a photo reference. There's no limit of what you can do with vector software considering you can blow-up the image so big. You just need a lot of patience & talent.
