trying to liven up the board eh? Pickles go with hotdogs and other good foods. lol I ate an entire jar once in one sitting. It was my pickle diet.

Didn't your mother explain where your pickle came from?

if you're going for dill pickles, you'll need: cucumbers, dill, salt, canning stuff, cold water, hot water, big tub to put the cold mixture and cucumbers in, good size pot for doing the canning stuff in (why do they call it canning if you're putting things in jars?), vinegar, sugar, celery seed, mustard seed -- some recipes call for some other spices.

I did this one summer with my mom and a friend of hers... don't remember the pickles, just the time making them.

Watermelon pickles are really good too, made from the rind of watermelons.
