The company I work for just recently upgraded to PS CS3. When I try to use the filters to edit text, pictures, and such instead of the entire image being filtered only the center of the picture is effected with a small radius around it. I know on PS7 when you applied a filter the entire selection was effected. Please help.

Sounds like an installation glitch. Do all the original Ps filters behave this way or is it just a few? Or is this behavior cropping up just on a commercial plugin or filter that you use to use with Ps7?

Yes, all of the filters are behaving this way. The filters that we have are the ones that came standard with the program (Commercial?) thx

Commercial, meaning third party and the like. It appears you may have to do a reinstall. But to avoid this, you might see if your CS3 has all its current upgrades from Adobe. Inside Photoshop under Menu >Help >Updates.. this will launch the Adobe Updater to check if your up to date.

i just tryed everything to reproduce the effect you are talking about, can not find any setting that will do it, except a gradient mask, i'm sure you did'nt accidently set one of those up
try reloading filtes/styles
