Log me on automatically each visit: is checked but everytime I close firefox I have to re-login. Not just this site but all sites.
does anyone else have that problem? Didn't happen with FF2.

Keep cookies forever is checked, no exceptions.
do not clear private data is checked.
allow all cookies is checked.
No add-ons.

Any advice would be a great help.

- Shawn

have you tried wearing this?

Turn the computer off and watch the rest of the St. Louis/Boston game...now in the top of the 13th....................whew! Smile

*edit* not going to be a 3-game sweep. The Red Sox finally knocked one out bottom of 13th.

I would, but it doesn't remember/auto-fill most passwords the way FF does.

There are always bugs like this to be worked out when a new version comes out.

And, I'm sure you'll be wanting to use FF rather than IE, so here's a more helpful response I hope: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=675175&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

The last person to post seems to have fixed his problem. Maybe you'll find your answer in that thread or that site somewhere.

Thank you.
It is this same problem. when I close FF all my cookies go too.
Their solution did not work for me, but I will continue to search and post my solution here (if I get one).
Thank you again for the help.

Firefox is clearing your data and cookies when you close it.

Go to tools then options and click the privacy tab, and on the cookies click keep until they expire. On the private data uncheck ( if not already ) the always clean my private data option.

That does it for me, so when I close firefox and go back I'm still logged here or anywhere I was logged in.

[edit] I didn't notice but seems like you already tried this Razz

I've tried that. also the ask me everytime, and allowed them.

It's funny, If I keep the "show cookies" box open I can close FF, re-start it and it keeps me logged in. If I dont keep it open, it deletes all cookies when I restart it.

I just realized I solved the problem. Keep the computer on 24 hrs a day with the cookie box open.

(update) Its fixed. I deleted all the old favorites and settings that get imported and re-installed it fresh. works great now.

Oh, but it is broke. So, so broke...and all "new" features are poor, blatant ripoffs of the 'Fox...

IE can burn in hell, along with Microsoft Works 2007. Argh
