Nice effort with the other, but the thematic feel of this one is great.
seelcraft seelcraft
The other appears to use too much of an outside source. And the transparency effect doesn't really work.

The use of blocks in the other is subtle but I prefer the more obvious attempt to incorporate things here.
roger1 roger1
More appealing use of source.
digimagicnb digimagicnb
Obviously the other one is really well-done, but use of source is minimal? - Just the board that I can see, maybe the coat??? -but the color is different so maybe not; and this one has the cute little girl vote, plus I like the playing with scale and concept
one of my faves, nice motion to the blocks... close vote though

I really like the overall feel to this image. Very cool. The other is great (the chess pieces are really nice), but I am leaning this way. Nice job, both.

Though choice, both great (this thematically and mood creation), the other has very nice execution in reflection and refraction. But I'm leaning this way more...

On the other one, the source doesn't bring much to the external(s) & idea. So this one is easily better... nice image! :)

Another good one. But am drawn to this one for overall effect and use of blur and shadows.

Both entries deserve to win, Since I'm going to my chess club tonight, I'll vote for this one.

Both strong entries here! I can't NOT vote for the Pixar chess player guy though! The other entry is very well done though....I wish I could vote for both.
GuidedByPandas GuidedByPandas
Wow... both did a very nice job. While the other well displays the awe of children, I like that the creator here used the blocks to create something else. Plus I'm a sucker for 3D effect. :) Tough choice.
