		 | Not as easy as this looks, quite a few selected and blended layers, only external helicopter made of 2 sources & PS work. |

						| | vokaris I like it. Looks more like rain than snow. Maybe the sky needs to be a bit greyer, less contrast in the shadows, darker trees and less blur on the snow (or more blur on the chopper blades)

						| | goofball84887 Ooooh a chance to give creative criticism to a chopper god! - If its coming down like this perhaps some seemingly more dense weather in the distance (as per perspective), obscuring the bridge, distant water, and far away mountains? Otherwise a great pic.

						| | marcoballistic thanks Blade, the actual effect that I went for of covering the hillside and all thats around it in light snowfall was a bit of a chore. I started by selecting areas of the image and using masking and layer styles to enhances the depth of the effect...

						| |
						| | marcoballistic ...then I set about using the healing brush to give the treelines more texture where they would have looked flat before. Next I set up several more layers and painted using normal brushes at varying opacities onto the tree, harbour, sky...

						| | marcoballistic ... viewing platform and hillside. Then I adjusted these layers' brightness, saturation and gamma levels to enhance the snow look. To add more depth I gave some distance to the far background, & added the chopper to give more depth & a bit more story...

						| | marcoballistic ...Finally I went about creating 4 layers of snow, this was always going to be a worry with my chosen theme, as the danger was the detail could be lost from the main image, for a similar method of what I did to make the snow effect see the...

						| | marcoballistic tried alot of that Voks before I posted, was constantly battling with this, but more grey equals nearly all the image being lost and just becoming a total and utter mess of grey :oD

						| | marcoballistic hmmmm maybe, yet like I said, it is meant to be a burst blizzard, thats why the chopper is still flying anf banking hard to find land. And also why colours are still exposed... I don't know, maybe too much to get from a single still image

						| | marcoballistic ha, dodn't think that at all Gran, no worries.... And good point goof, that would have been a good idea, cheers
