First of all, the word is "gross" second of all, pulling shades from something like those monopoly pieces is difficult. Especially when they're so small. If you have a problem with it, try your own hand at it.

I'm not sure what you call this kind of work BuddySwally. I'll just call it: Reference Shading. You need to use the clone tool to pull the shades from your image then heal/smear/blur it to look uniform. Very time intensive, but it's also rather fun!

Actually, grouse would be the correct word.. it's a slang word used for "awesome"..... as in.. OMG.. wow.. that is grouse! I believe that is what was meant.. not gross which is an entirely different word. And yes, I too believe this is "grouse"!
