BTW, now I see that I made the same mistake on my chop: I didn't notice that the hill sloped up to the left also, leaving my pagoda overly distorted.

I'm no expert, but surely it still works (if you don't compare to original), just that perspective makes corner seem nearer? (I pretended there was no hill)...

Yes, but the right windows should be distorted then, so that their sills' angle is halfway between the water angle and the roof angle.
