I wondered that also, I came to the conclusion that it may just be dust, altho couldn't find decisive evidence to this effect, so took a little creative license out on this to make it pop...or maybe this is where Saddams WMD's were hidden all along :oP

There would definitely be "fire" like that, but it would not be primarily from anything combusting (combining with O2). It would be the massive conversion of kinetic energy (the moving rock) into heat. Everything would glow and rock would turn into gase

Dear Marco, I don't buy your explanation. The moon in the original entry was definitely not the same as the source. If it was indeed "overlayed with textures" as you claim, then the "texture" must have been another, better, photograph of the moon.

I never said it was not, it was a texture Voks, that is what I said, and have hence altered the layers. The source was always there? I am confused to why anyone would think it was not. But hey, it is what it is as they say.

Dear Marco, please excuse my confusion. I looked, and looked again, and I honestly didn't see the source in the original post. To me the fine details suggest "the texture" was a bigger, better, nicer image of the moon ohshot.com...

I can see the texture through it, but the point was valid, I said nothing that I had tried to cover the source up, and hence why I updated with no complaint to clarify the visual, there was no smoke and mirrors here. A point was made, and I agreed.

if you want original source also the entire space was also the blue sky, but obviously turned black nobody would bother thinking that. The moon source is there in spades.
