Think about a longer pause at closed then copy the steps and reverse so it reopens.

Effort vote. This sort of thing is tough. You have to build layers with the hatch in its various positions with correct perspective and lighting. Your hatch jumps from its hinges and becomes two-dimensional. Good extension of the flagstones.
