Your reference is not well-written and/or edited. I believe it should read, "... a Virginia university lab." In English the article "a" is not specific. Also, Virginia University (if there is one) is not the same as University of Virginia.

If you scroll down on the same web page to the "Evergreen Adventures" section, you will find Culver University specified. It's not your fault because the writing is sloppy. I'm not sure which is correct because I don't do much Marvel. Fwiw.
