I don't know what to tell you guys. The shadows are just darker tones of the surfaces they are on. I make black copies of the objects (rope here), place appropriately, then use that to copy/paste from the background. That is then adjusted for darkness

I'm not saying the original blue tint is correct, probably enhanced by Camera Raw or something alike
