yeah, looked for 20 minutes for a better body, but they were all crap, so i chose a generic clay looking thing, because it had a generic pose that would be easy to put the chainmail on. the armor doesnt look to good from a distance. It looks a lot better

You forgot to add shading to the mail. Looks like you worked pretty hard on this.

i tried to add shading, but i couldnt quite figure out where to do it, so it always looked bad with the feet-shadow, and shine looked really bad since the armor has a rusty feel anyway. I guess i did cheat on this picture. I skipped all the layering chaos
